The Lights by the Lake Christmas Attraction at Harrison Hot Springs

Lights by the Lake is a festive winter holiday attraction that transforms the lakeside village of Harrison Hot Springs into a glowing holiday destination. Each year, the waterfront comes alive with sparkling displays, colourful decorations, and playful Sasquatch-themed light installations. The attraction creates a magical atmosphere for visitors of all ages.

Set against the peaceful backdrop of Harrison Lake, this seasonal experience is one of the most charming Christmas light displays in the Fraser Valley. The illuminated shoreline offers a scenic place for evening strolls, photos, and quiet moments of holiday cheer.

Lights by the Lake runs from late November, throughout the month of December, and up until around the middle of January. Its dates in 2025 are November 22nd to January 11th. 2026 will likely be similar.

A Festive Waterfront Experience

During the winter holiday season, the parks and walking paths along Harrison Lake are decorated with creative light sculptures and twinkling trees. Many of the displays feature traditional winter designs. Others celebrate the community’s unique Sasquatch character, adding a fun and local twist to the experience.

Around Christmas, shops and restaurants in the resort town decorate their storefronts, making the entire village feel warm and welcoming throughout the season. The lights and displays are free to enjoy and can be viewed any evening, weather permitting.

Holiday Atmosphere & Seasonal Fun

While the light displays are the main attraction, Harrison Hot Springs also embraces the festive spirit with occasional community celebrations, themed characters, and family-friendly surprises. Visitors may spot the beloved Sasquatch mascot appearing along the boardwalk or posing for photos in select areas.

The peaceful lakeside setting makes this a relaxing alternative to larger, busier Christmas light events. It’s especially popular with couples, families, and anyone looking for a cozy winter outing as well as visitors spending the night at a hotel in Harrison Hot Springs.
