Greendale Acres Farm at Christmas

Greendale Acres is a farm with animals, play structures and other fun activities in Chilliwack. Late in the year it used to host Christmas at Greendale Acres. However, the event isn’t happening in 2026. It may or may not return in the future.

Greendale Acres is open seasonally for a period of time in the spring and then again in late summer and the fall.

A Magical Holiday Farm Experience

In 2026 Christmas at Greendale Acres marked its third annual winter celebration. It brought back all the sparkle and tradition that made its debut season such a hit. During the winter holiday event, the farm used to glow with thousands of lights, festive décor, and interactive holiday displays designed to capture the wonder of the season.

At the farm visitors were able to hop aboard the Greendale Express Train, go through a glowing light tunnel, visit Santa’s Workshop, and enjoy cozy moments around crackling outdoor fires. Between the lights, laughter and tasty treats, Greendale Acres offered an authentic Christmas experience filled with joy, nostalgia and community spirit.

When and Where

In 2025 Greendale Acres at Christmas began on Friday, November 22nd. After that it ran until December 23rd.

Greendale Acres’ address is 41905 Yale Road West in Chilliwack. The farm is easily accessible from Highway 1 and only about 90 minutes from downtown Vancouver, making it a nice day trip destination for families across the Lower Mainland.

What to Expect at Greendale Acres at Christmas

The Christmas attraction at Greendale Acres brought to life the beloved Old Yale Road light displays, originally created by Murray Blackham and his family in Abbotsford. In 2024 and 2025, those enchanting displays found a new home in Chilliwack, at Greendale Acres, which continued a treasured Fraser Valley Christmas tradition.

When the holiday attraction operated, guests were able to explore the glowing landscape in two ways. They could have went on the Greendale Express Train for a magical journey through light tunnels and illuminated farm scenes. For people who preferred to walk, there were also light pathways to follow in the cozy, festive atmosphere.

Beyond the lights, families used to enjoy a range of interactive holiday activities, including the following:

Santa’s Workshop – Meet Santa, snap photos, and make holiday crafts.
Greendale Post Office – Write and send letters to the North Pole.
Christmas Scavenger Hunt – A fun and festive challenge for kids.
Holiday Wishing Tree – A heartwarming way to share your hopes and gratitude for the season.
Christmas Market – Browse local artisan goods and holiday treats.
Fireside Holiday Pavilion – Gather with friends and family around warm firepits while enjoying seasonal beverages.

To make the experience even more meaningful, a portion of each ticket sale supported local charities.
